-- Eriq LaSalle (actor from the TV Series E.R.) co-writes "25 to Life", a three-issue series out in September, about an elite, yet experimental, FBI unit, formed especially to investigate high-profile crimes.  The team matches its investigators with hardened criminals incarcerated for committing similar crimes.  For their latest case, that means working with a racist militia leader serving a life sentence.

-- Filmakers John Moore (Max Payne, Behind Enemy Lines and The Omen) and Richie Smyth bring us "Dead Soldier", a four-issue series starting in September, about a lone survivor of a battle at the end of WWI who becomes an avenging monster across generations of wars.

-- In September, writer, actor and co-creator of the Underworld movie franchise, Kevin Grevioux, brings a unique take to the classic Wildstorm team, Wetworks with "Wetworks: Mutations" (One-Shot).

-- HBO series True Blood creator Alan Ball is bringing more stories to you via comic books, starting in July.

-- Musician, Adam Jones from the band, TOOL, is co-writing the can't-miss crossover "X-Files / 30 Days of Night", a 6-issue series starting in July from IDW.

-- DC Comics and best-selling author Peter Straub resurrect his most sinister creation, Fielding "Fee" Brandolier, the unstoppable serial killer last seen in Straub's best-seller, The Throat.  HC Graphic Novel releasing Oct. 6.

-- Celebrated director Antoine Fuqua (Brooklyn's Finest, Training Day) and actor Wesley Snipes (Blade) are bringing us a 3-issue series in August called "After Dark" from Radical Publishing - a post-apocalyptic saga with an amoral drifter and a crew of jaded mercenaries.

-- John Barrowman ("Captain Jack" on Torchwood) is writing a "Torchwood" comic book series with all-new adventures, scheduled to start in August.


-- Science fiction master Harlan Ellison returns to his roots with the all-new story "Phoenix Without Ashes", a 4-issue series set in the year 2785, due to release in August.

-- Mega-star actor Samuel L. Jackson has never made a secret of his love for comic books.  From BOOM! Studios, Jackson is writing an outer-space adventure titled “Cold Space” with his “Afro Samurai” co-conspirator Eric Calderon.  Issue #1 has already released.

Legendary singer-songwriter, musician and activist Neil Young brings one of his most personal albums, GREENDALE, to comics. Overseeing the work of acclaimed writer Joshua Dysart (UNKNOWN SOLDIER) and fan-favorite artist Cliff Chiang (HUMAN TARGET), they compose a graphic novel that explores a whole new dimension to the album that Rolling Stone voted as one of the best of its year.  To be released in early June.

-- Stephen King's son, Joe Hill, writes the popular comic book series "Locke & Key".  A new storyline begins in August - a great jumping-on point for new readers.  IDW is also releasing a 'legacy edition' of the first issue of the series that will include an 8-pg recap of where the series has gone before.

-- Stephen King has been creating amazing stories in comic-book form for a while now, adding NEW MATERIAL to some of his novels (prequels, sequels and back stories):  "The Stand" (new installment starts this week) and the "Dark Tower" saga (out in collected editions).
